CONNECT – Artists Professional Development Programme

Speed Dating style networking Event :
Friday | 20 April | 7-9pm

 This informal event will provide artists with an opportunity to meet with, discuss their practice, show their work or ask questions to a range of professionals.  Each participant can select up to 6 people they would like to ‘meet’ and every 10 minutes participants move on their next allocated ‘date’.

This event also provides a fun and informal opportunity for artists to network with each other during the event, before, after or inbetween meetings.

Collaborative Practices Seminar
Saturday | 21 April | 3-5pm

A fascinating series of short talks and presentations covering a wide range of collaborative models involved in their practice.  Ranging from collaboration with other artists, arts professionals, curators, local authorities,  local community groups and individuals, schools, scientists, galleries, fabricators, foundries etc

Peer Critique Workshop for moving image artists with Jenny Brady
Sunday | 22 April | 10am- 3pm

Jenny Brady will discuss her own practice and work on the Landmark Public Art Programme.  Participants will  present and discuss their video work with structured feedback from the other workshop participants. 

Participants will need to take along DVDs or laptops to present their work to the group.  Projector and Speakers will be available on the day.

Drawing on Lough Lannagh Workshop with Fionnuala Hanahoe
Sunday | 22 April | 10am- 3pm

This workshop / sharing process will provide participants with an opportunity to gain an insight into Fionnuala’s process of 'drawing on Lough Lannagh' through Photoshop or any drawing software. All artists should be able to use Photoshop or some kind of drawing software such as Illustrator.  Participants should have their own laptops with Photoshop installed or another drawing software installed, their own digital camera and a drawing tablet (tablets can be provided if necessary).
